GLADFEST
1-Week Filmmaking Frenzy Competition
ELIGIBILITY:
1. This competition is only open to student filmmaking teams comprised of students currently enrolled in a college, high school, or ROP (Regional Occupation Program) class.
2. Students may only participate on one filmmaking team.
3. A sponsoring faculty member from the participating college, high school, or ROP class must certify that the members of the student filmmaking team are currently enrolled students at their sponsoring institution, by electronically submitting the official Online 1-Week Filmmaking Frenzy Competition Registration Form available at:
http://www.gladfest.info
4. The official Online 1-Week Filmmaking Frenzy Competition Registration Form must be submitted by the sponsoring faculty member no later than Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009, before 12 midnight Pacific Standard Time.
5. This competition is limited to the first 25 officially registered student filmmaking teams. Official registration and eligibility will be determined by the Chabot College Film Department.
RULES:
1. Film entries must contain all four of the required content elements which will be announced on the official GladFest 1-Week Filmmaking Frenzy webpage on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009, at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time.
2. Film entries may not include any content in violation of Chabot College Plagiarism, and Non-Discrimination Policies which are detailed in the current 2008-10 Chabot College Catalog.
3. Film entries must be delivered in person to the official GladFest 1-Week Filmmaking Frenzy submission table located in the lobby of the Chabot College Performing Arts Center, Building 1300, on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009, between the hours of 12 noon - 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time.
4. Maximum Total Running Time of film entries, including titles and credits: 5 minutes
5. Submission Format: DVD in NTSC format with Region 2 or region-free coding. The disk must contain DVD files that are ready to play in any domestic (USA) DVD player.
Note: Test your DVD on multiple players before you submit to ensure it plays on
them all, including Macintosh and PC computers and DVD players. Keep a master copy for yourself.
6. Submission Label: The following information must appear on the media case and on the submitted media disk
- Title of Film
- Total Running Time of the submitted film entry
- Contact Person's Name
- Contact Person's Phone Number
